Shopping!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

I just wanted to share a few of the transactions that I have done over the last few days.
Wal-mart $3.44

  • 1 – coffee pot
  • 1 – coffee filters
  • 1 – jammies for Zoe
  • 7 lbs bananas
  • 2 – boxes kotex
  • 6 – boxes gelatin
  • 3 – 12 count razors (to donate)
  • 1 – trident gum

Total paid $3.44

I have been having a great time with the overage at Wal-mart! Now keep in mind that Wal-mart gets reimbursed for the full coupon amount PLUS the handling charge. Everyone wins when couponing is done right!

Wal-mart $11.61

  • 2 – Chatterbox toys (birthdays are coming)
  • 2 – pair of children’s pants
  • 5 – 6 pack yogerts
  • 4 – Altiods
  • 5 – boxes gelatin
  • 1 – box O.B.
  • 4 – 12 count razors

Total $11.61

Now what to do with all this gelatin???

Safeway $2.76

A family with 4 children can never have enough toilet paper or paper towels!  And I can never have enough Snickers! All the Snickers *might* not have made it home! I got these items at Safeway for $2.76! The best part is the coupon was only for $0.25 off. That just proves that it is not the dollar amount of the coupon but HOW it is used!

Safeway $7.75

I love to save money but I just can’t scrimp on quality. Coffee is one of my weaknesses! I need coffee like Superman needs the rays of the Yellow Sun.

This transaction cost me $7.75 which felt like a ton of money for one little bag of stuff, but then I had one sip of liquid heaven and decided it was money well spent.

Jessica- can I please go to walmart with you sometime? I got a BUNCH of those knox coupons off ebay SOO excited to use them at walmart and they wouldn’t let me! The cashier FREAKED out about them and wouldn’t do it. Then I talked to the customer service and they said they wouldn’t do it either because that would mean that I was using the coupon to pay for other things in my transaction. I was thinking, “um…yeah, that’s the point”. But I was almost in tears I was so disappointed. The only good news was that I reposted the coupons on ebay and made a couple dollars. =) But I would love to see how you get them to do this! I’m soooo jealous!

I would love to take you sometime! It all depends on the cashier. At the WV store I always checkout at the cigarette line and they just go right through. Then also keeping my total q’s under the CSM override threshold ($40). I am so sorry about your experience sometimes it can be really frustrating, but I am glad that you made some money on the q’s!
