Have you ever taken a work buddy out for a drink and wondered “Who is this guy?” Then you see them in church the next week with their arms lifted high at worship but you know they just cussed you out the day before? So what does a life without walls look like?
This subject has bothered me for many years. So consider this a WARNING! If you continue to read you will see my life without walls.
Really, my life is just all about sex and money. Aren’t all our lives really about sex and money? Both are basic needs of most people, and I am no different. Except that I like to talk about it!
We all know the song:
Workin 9 to 5
What a way to make a livin
Barely gettin by
It’s all takin
And no givin
Can’t you just hear Dolly now? Makes you wanna tap your toe and sing along! I know that I can relate. So what’s a girl to do?
For years we just barely made it by. Pay check to pay check but then I learned to buy things with very little money. I have found so much joy in helping others learn to do the same. Now that just sounds cheesy, but really, it IS a big deal! I get such a rush when I walk out of a grocery store with $200 worth of stuff for less than $5. We call that “Economic Adrenaline” or a middle-aged-mom-kind-of-rush!
Now might you ask, “WHAT does that have to do with sex?”
NOTHING!
But it does have a lot to do with who I am and the walls I’m tearing down. Lately I have been doing a considerable amount of speaking in regards to human trafficking. Not only is it a huge issue in this country but it has been a huge issue in my life. I was a victim of sex trafficking, but I have been able to get out and find freedom from the bondage and slavery.
Out of those ashes has come freedom, joy, and even a strong marriage!
Today is a new beginning for me. I have worked so hard to break down the walls in my life and be the same person at work, home, church, karaoke, community events, and now the internet. So thank you for taking this journey with me and we are going to have a crazy fun time!
