In life sometimes we find ourselves in sticky situations. Sometimes life just sticks to us. It is a test of character in how we respond to the sticky situations, and sometimes the only choice is to stick fruit snacks to your face.

I found myself in a sticky situation this week. I have my favorite stores that I like to shop at, and I always seem to get the same cashiers. One would think that the cashiers would want to duck and run when they see me coming but the opposite is true. Most cashiers think that it is great when they see someone saving a ton of money and they end up rooting for you too!

So everything goes great all the way through checkout then the Catilina does not print with my receipt! I was supposed to get $15 back in catilinas (like cash). That might not be much money but I can fill the van with food for less than 15 bucks. So off to customer service I go… Where the CS lady (who is atleast a decade younger than me) says with the rudest possible tone “Oh, we know who YOU are and I am going to give your customer number to the manager” but then she gives me a gift card for the $15 and sends me on my way. I know that I did everything correct but computers sometimes make mistakes that is why CUSTOMER SERVICE is there!!! Dazed and confused I leave.

I don’t want to go back but I really want more stuff so two days later I decide to go fix the situation. I take my husband for ‘back-up’ and we go in. Like a secret agent I find my favorite cashier and explain the situation. He thinks that I need to talk to management because no one should be treated like that. Then the heavens opened and gave me the BEST manager ever!!! She knew the rules! She knew I was right! Then she told me that I was the best couponer ever! “Please come back, it will never happen again and bring all your friends”, She says!!!!!!!

Somedays fruit snacks just get stuck to your face but on this day I am not the one with sticky residue.
